Plant Conservation

Palo Prieto Conservation Bank preserves a variety of habitats for native plants, including grasslands, rock outcrops, buckwheat scrub, and wetlands.  In 2010, 116 native plant species and 40 introduced plant species were identified on preserved land.  Native perennial grasses, including Elymus glaucusElymus triticoidesStipa cernua, and Poa secunda occur at PPCB.

Diverse wildflowers, including native bulbs and California Native Plant Society-listed plants Astragalus macrodon, and California macrophylla occur on PPCB lands.
